About us
The Association of Ukrainians in Slovenia Razom is a NGO that brings together Ukrainians living in Slovenia and people who support Ukraine.
Our mission is to support Ukrainians in a new cultural and social environment, preserve Ukrainian identity, facilitate integration into Slovenian society, and promote Ukrainian culture, history, and values.
Our Key Areas of Activity
Information and Practical Support
We provide essential information and consultations for Ukrainians in Slovenia regarding adaptation, access to resources, rights, and services. Through our communication channels, individuals can receive practical guidance to support smoother integration.
Psychological Support
We help people cope with stress and difficult experiences that often accompany forced displacement by offering consultations and psychological support sessions with qualified professionals.
Humanitarian Initiatives
We organize fundraising and resource-collection projects to support people affected by the war in Ukraine, as well as those facing difficult circumstances in Slovenia. These initiatives include concerts, charity events, and joint campaigns with local partners.
Cultural, educational, and social events
We organize cultural events—from art exhibitions and music performances to theatrical productions—with the aim of preserving Ukrainian culture, promoting Ukrainian art, and creating spaces for dialogue between different communities.
Civic and socio-political engagement
We organize rallies, solidarity actions, and public events in support of Ukraine, strengthening the voice of our community within Slovenian society and the broader public discourse.
Monitoring and advocacy
We collect and analyze information about the challenges faced by Ukrainians in Slovenia in order to effectively represent their interests before public authorities and partner organizations.
Support for youth and children
We organize educational, creative, and sports activities for children and adolescents, fostering their adaptation, personal development, and preservation of cultural identity.
Countering Russian propaganda and disinformation
One of our key areas of work is the systematic counteraction of Russian propaganda, manipulation, and the spread of false information about Ukraine, the war, and Ukrainians.
We:
inform Slovenian society about real events in Ukraine based on verified sources;
explain the mechanisms of disinformation and propaganda narratives;
respond to public manifestations of Russian propaganda in the information and public space;
support initiatives of solidarity with Ukraine grounded in truth, international law, and respect for human rights.
Our position is clear: Russia’s war against Ukraine is an act of armed aggression, and the spread of lies and distorted narratives contributes to its justification. We believe that truth is a crucial tool for protecting democracy, human dignity, and security.
Our Vision
We strive to be a source of support for every Ukrainian in Slovenia—a place where people can find information, friendship, understanding, and solidarity. We are open to cooperation with local communities, institutions, and volunteers who share our values of solidarity, mutual respect, and humanity.
